ACS is developing engineered services to support Oracle Customers adoption of Oracle Cloud technologies (Exadata, Exalogic, SuperCluster, Public Cloud, ..Virtualization). The ACS Product Management team is responsible for managing the creation and release of new services. ACS is looking to recruit an experienced engineer to develop ‘Proof of Concepts’ (PoC) to help expedite the design and validation of new service concepts with Customers. PoCs will be developed by leveraging Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c core features and management packs, extensibility features and reporting. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to work with the latest Oracle Technologies and Products, developing new Services to support Oracle’s Customers. Role Description:- Reporting to Director of Product Management, the role will involve the following activities: Collaborate with internal/ external clients to understand their business requirements Produce initial Design and plan for ‘Proof of Concept’ Review Design and Plan with Stakeholders Develop ‘Proof of Concept’ seeking regular feedback Review ‘Proof of Concept’ with Stakeholders Present ‘Proof of Concept’ to executive leadership and customer(s) Work with Product Manager to convert approved Concept into engineering requirements Knowledge and Skills: Professional: Technology Skills: Experience with Enterprise Manager 11/12c in one or more of the following areas Install, Configuration and Agent Deployment Experience extending Enterprise Manager (User Defined Metrics/Policies/Compliance Rules) Creating and Executing Enterprise Manager Jobs Experience of the EMCLI interface Creating Reports using Enterprise Manager/BI Publisher Experience of setting up and using Management Packs is desirable Experience with one or more of the following technologies Linux/Solaris Scripting – shell, sql, pl/sql HTML(5), Javascript, CSS(3) Java, J2EE BI Publisher Oracle Data Mining Oracle Virtualization and Virtual Appliance Builder is desirable Mathematics and knowledge of statistics is desirable Other Skills Self starter with strong organizational skills Meticulous attention to detail and follow-up Strong collaboration, teaming and networking skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Projects a positive and professional image Professional, team player with strong interpersonal skills Potential Sources of Candidates Oracle Pre-Sales with experience in Enterprise Manager 12c, and setting up solutions/Proof of Concepts for customers Would have implemented key functionality on top of Enterprise Manager 12c EM 12c plugin, metrics, compliance rules, job automation..
