Oracle has a large community of pre-sales consultants across EMEA that on a daily bases engage in tasks such as:
Product presentations & demonstrations
Advice customers & partners on how to best use Oracle products
Respond to tenders
Interact with product development about new releases, new functionality.
As a pre-sales consultant you have the chance to develop in a very broad spectrum, ranging from product expertise, customer interaction, communication and general IT market knowledge. Successful pre-sales consultants are highly demanded individuals with the possibility to develop a career in many different IT (and non-IT) functions.
The EMEA Presales Center (EPC) is tasked to support the EMEA field pre-sales in a diverse number of ways. Ranging from answering to tenders, customizing demos, building prototypes to directly supporting partners and/or customers with specific requests.
For the centre we are looking for someone who is willing to take on the challenge of building excellent overall Technical Fusion Application skills with a prior CRM/ERP products (preferably Siebel, CRM On Demand, Oracle Applications: e-Business Suite, JD Edwards, PeopleSoft or other CRM solutions) exposure and combine this with a good commercial sense & strong verbal and written communication skills while working in an international environment.
The languages supported by the centre are: English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. For this role fluency (verbal & written) in English and German are musts.
PROFILE:
To fulfill the role of pre-sales consultant we are looking for individuals that match the following profile:
Technical:
Good understanding of the IT market/trends
Technical/IT education, university degree
Currently works in an IT related role today (system or DB administrator, technical support, consulting, development).
Experience with Customer Relationship management system is required (Oracle, non-Oracle)
Up-to-date experience with ADF & associated tasks is a strong plus
Good understanding of Oracle or similar products, more specific:
Experience (worked with) CRM/ERP systems & databases; preferably Oracle but others are OK as well
and/or experience (worked with) middleware products (1 or more of the following: J2EE/Portals/SOA tools etc.); preferably Oracle but others are OK as well
Knowledge of supporting technologies such as Java
Most important is an eagerness to learn! Oracle has an incredibly broad (and growing) portfolio of industry leading products. If you find it interesting and fun to pick up a new product and master it in a very short timeframe, this is the place to be!
Non-Technical:
Good verbal and written communication skills. Able to articulate key messages very clearly
