Job Description For our office in Geel we are looking for an IS Application Specialist (m/f): - Ensuring optimal use and functionality of our operational IS systems (WMS, TMS, KN Login, EDI, reporting and other), 1st and 2nd line support for users of these operational applications. - Implementing problem analysis and structural improvements arising from incidents. - Migration of existing applications to new applications and implementation of new clients in our logistics systems. - Configuration and logical mapping of our WMS / TMS system. - Analysis and optimization of work/process flows. Analyzing functional needs/requirements and definition of functional requirement specifications. Support of local organization in describing processes and procedures and giving assistance in implementing these procedures. - Release –and Change management of operational applications. Definition of test procedures (test cases, test documentation) and testing of bug fixes, release upgrades, and writing functional specifications. - As super-user you give our key users training in the operational CL IS systems; f.e new functionalities, giving continuous explanations and training to users on the use of systems. - Assistance in answering tender analysis and tender documents, analysis of requested IS functionality requested and description of solutions derived from these analyses. Requirements to Candidates We are looking for candidates who show the following qualities: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in a logistics or IT area - One to three years experience in a similar position, preferably in a logistics environment (warehousing/transport) - Knowledge of and / or affinity with ICT and logistics processes and information systems - Experience as an Application Specialist and / or with a WMS/TMS implementation is a plus - Strong knowledge of English - Ability to analyze processes and formulate clear and quick solutions - Independent and result oriented, seeking continuous improvement - Pragmatic and proactive attitude We offer a solid position within a strong international environment with a competitive salary and opportunities for further development within the Kuehne + Nagel Group.
