Job Details: Intern, Manufacturing & Services Ref: 50010576 Country: United Kingdom City: London Department: Banking Business Unit: ICA, Manufacturing and Services Closing date for applications: 29 November 2012 Information regarding the Bank's Intern Opportunities Internship opportunities at the EBRD The Manufacturing and Services Team is looking for a German-speaking intern to support the business origination and deal execution efforts of the team with clients in the German-speaking area (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). The intern will be based in our headquarters in London and you may be required to travel. The internship will be on a full-time basis. The intern will work on a variety of tasks, including: · Researching and preparing reports on background information relevant to business activities in those countries. These could be sector- or client-focussed; · Financial analysis of annual reports/financial statements of clients in the German-speaking area; · Research on other organisations of relevance to developing financing opportunities in those countries; · Developing and maintaining databases. Qualifications & Eligibility The successful candidate will have the following qualifications: · Native or quasi-native German language skills (verbal and written communication skills); · Strong analytic skills with regard to reading, analysing and interpreting financial statements (German GAAP and IFRS) of companies in the German-speaking area; · Previous experience in the German-speaking area with leading banks, auditing/consulting companies will be useful; · Strong academic background, preferably with a degree obtained from a leading university in a German-speaking country. Candidates must be a national of one of our member countries, (see http://www.ebrd.com/about/basics/members.htm); have a good knowledge of both spoken and written English; and be able to obtain the necessary UK visa to allow for full time work - we can provide support for visa applications to candidates who have been offered an internship.
