Role Overview An Analyst or Associate Banker is sought for the Tirana Resident Office.
Analyst Core role: To provide support / participate in the project preparation, appraisal and monitoring process under direct and continuous supervision. Future development of role: The Analyst can progress to more complex aspects of transaction processing, progressively gaining more responsibilities.
Associate Banker Core role: Will be responsible for making a contribution to the development and management of the Office’s project portfolio.
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
• With supervision from senior team members, working as a project team member throughout the life cycle of projects. Tasks will include project screening, due diligence, structuring, negotiations, preparation of documentation and monitoring of projects.
• Research, analyse and provide background information into companies or sectors.
• Draft specific assigned portions of Bank documents and correspondence
• Credit and financial aspects of project development, including financial analysis of companies/projects - data gathering, production of financial projections and cash-flow models.
• Participate in project implementation, including administrative and analytical support in specific areas of project monitoring.
• Attend meetings with clients with more senior bankers. Liaison with the Bank’s internal Credit department, and other support units.
• An Associate Banker will be capable of working throughout the whole life cycle of projects. This will be accomplished through marketing, project screening, origination, due diligence, structuring, negotiation, preparation and monitoring of projects.
Essential Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant commercial experience in the financial sector for Analyst level and 4-5 years for Associate level. (e.g. banking, finance, accounting, audit or project finance) gained from a major commercial/investment bank, equity fund, advisory services or corporate finance firm.
Good relevant degree from a leading university in the country of education (e.g. business administration, economics, finance). Overseas post-graduate education is preferred.
Credit analysis skills: ability to interpret accounts, understanding accounting principles and practice of credit analysis
Financial analysis skills: ability to design financial models; identify, understand and help solve complex issues
Sound understanding of business principles
Very good written and oral communication skills in English and fluency in Albanian
Computer Literacy: Conversant with word-processing and spreadsheet packages and financial analysis models.
Work experience in project finance in emerging markets, including Western Balkans/Eastern Europe will be advantage.

• Flexible in working hours and willing to travel frequently.
