Profile
Experience: proven experience in legal services in an international environment
Education: university degree in Law a must, attorneys degree/bar exam an asset
Languages: English and French both proficient, German a strong asset, other European language a plus.
Purpose of the job
To deal efficiently and effectively with player status cases and issues within the UEFA territory.
Main activities
A) Player Status
Interprets contracts related to players’ employment and transfers; interprets representation contracts between players/clubs and agents
Revises transfer and employment litigations that are submitted to the FIFA competent bodies
Edits player status judgements/decisions as well as answers or petitions to the Court of Arbitration for Sport
Prepares the decision making process for the Players’ Status Committee and the Dispute Resolution Chamber in accordance with the relevant regulations (club versus player, club versus club, coach versus club/association, player versus players’ agent, club versus players’ agent and vice versa)
Drafts and edits the circular letters to the member associations
Gives written and/or oral advice on the regulations as well as on general legal issues to players, clubs, member associations, agents, legal advisors, etc.
Prepares and mediates at conciliatory meetings
B) General Legal Issues
Supports the amendment and editing of regulations
Stays informed and keeps overview on formation / literature.
