Job Experience: 5 to 8 years Job Location: Brussels Expiration Date: 15 Oct 2018 PROFILE OF THE IDEAL CANDIDATE Extensive professional experience in stakeholder engagement in youth organisations and/or a membership-based organisation. At least 5 years experience in programme planning. Experience of working on large scale events is an advantage (~5,000 participants). Experience in planning small budgets (~€30,000) Advanced level in spoken and written English. French is desirable. A good understanding of the international non-profit environment. A strong understanding of EU affairs and the work and priorities of EU institutions and political parties. The ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends, if required. Willing to live in or relocate to Brussels or the surrounding area. REQUIRED SKILLS Deadline orientated with excellent planning and organisation skills. Ability to quickly build strong professional relationships Personable with excellent negotiation skills. Proactive with the motivation to take ownership of their work. Excellent public relations skills. Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills. Sociable, at ease in a multicultural environment. Dynamic, persistent and service oriented. Computer literacy: good working knowledge of word processing, e-mail and Internet applications.
